Colorado craft beer news via the Colorado Craft Beer Show

The Colorado craft beer scene seems to be growing by leaps and bounds with dozens of breweries opening up every quarter it seems like.  By just having attended the 15th Anniversary for Oskar Blues Brewery, I can tell you it is not happening overnight, and didn’t happen on accident!  Throughout this past year that I have been working and living here in Colorado, I have had the opportunity to do some amazing things and meet some amazing people; like brew beer with the Crafty Ladies Beer Club & Oskar Blues, attend GABF as a VIP, work on advertising featuring Odell and Left Hand veterans, and most recently, talk about craft beer events on the Colorado Craft Beer Show with John Turk & Chris “The Gubna” Katechis!   The beer just doesn’t seem to stop flowing in these Rocky Mountains, and in every style and strength you can think of!  Throughout everything that I’ve seen, tasted and experienced in the past year, I can understand why Colorado is known as the Napa Valley of craft beer.

The Gubna & John Turk

Anyone following my Twitter feed knows The Gubna is a great friend and not a stranger in my craft beer adventures throughout Colorado.  You will also know that a lot of the opportunities for me to do what I do, stem from my relationship with Juan Padro, Katie O’Shea Padro and the crew at Highland Tap & Burger who have an un-ending passion for providing good times and good beer to all who visit their establishment! (good food, too!)

Did you know Colorado is home to over 130 breweries??!!  Wowza!

The Colorado Craft Beer Show is a fairly new production that started in January of 2012. John Turk and Chris Katechis team up to take you around Colorado in craft beer by hosting guest interviews, offering brewery profiles, and brew news you can use!  They also cover craft beer events and a weekly update on the craft beer scene overall in CO.  This past weekend, I was on-air with them to promote the launch of the Colorado Beer Week Opening Ceremonies event at Highland Tap & Burger on May 12, as well as the Crafty Ladies Beer Dinner with Firestone Walker & Left Hand Brewing on May 17.

Live on AM 760 in Denver on Saturday’s between 12 and 1 pm.   You can also get the show on your smartphone via the iheartradio app and listen anywhere in the world!

Be sure to tune into the show every weekend.  You never know when you’ll hear about your next favorite beer being launched or your favorite craft brewery expanding in your area!     CHEERS!
